Our Religious School and Youth Groups will participate this year in the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate® campaign. This is a year-long commitment that empowers schools to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry. The campaign kicks off on Thursday, September 18 with a special event co-sponsored by the Social Action Committee and Men’s Club entitled Confronting Bias and Bullying in Our City Schools, featuring Superintendent of San Diego Unified School District Cindy Marten.
Over the coming year, we will convene a committee to oversee the implementation of anti-bias projects, sign ADL’s Resolution of Respect, pledging to respect diversity, and complete three or more Beth Israel school-wide anti-bias projects. Upon completion of these requirements, our religious school will receive a personalized banner from ADL designating it No Place for Hate®.
